Remember to remove the sole protection!

We’ve received a few e-mails about concerns with the soles of our summer shoes wearing out. This is typically because the protective layer of plastic hasn’t been removed from the sole. The protective layer is there, to let you try the shoes on, without scuffing the soles.

Once you have chosen to keep the shoes, peel the layer off by grabbing the part closest to the heel, and peeling it towards the front of the sole.

If you forgot to take off the protection and wore the shoes outside, the protective layer will tear apart and might look as if the sole is disintegrating (see photo below). Fear not though! You can remove the remaining plastic with a piece of fine-grain sandpaper.
